macOS 12 or later, on Apple Silicon (M1 or later) or Intel.
Drag Capy into Applications. The first time, open it from System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway (it's signed but not notarized). After that it updates itself.
Windows 10 (22H2) or later, 64-bit.
A 64-bit distribution on x64 or ARM64. Allow the file to run (right-click → Properties → Permissions), then open it: Capy installs itself in your app menu. If it doesn't open on Ubuntu 22.04 or later, install libfuse2: sudo apt install libfuse2 (libfuse2t64 on Ubuntu 24.04).
Open a terminal and paste this once. It expects the file in Downloads. Capy then adds itself to your app menu: from then on, open it from there, and it updates itself.
cd ~/Downloadsf=Capy-linux-$([ "$(uname -m)" = x86_64 ] && echo x64 || echo arm64).AppImagechmod +x "$f" && "./$f"
If it doesn’t open and the terminal mentions FUSE (Ubuntu and Debian), install it and try again.
sudo apt install libfuse2Windows and Linux are first test builds: they install and update themselves like the Mac app, but few people have used them yet. Tell us how they run.
Once installed (on a Mac, in Applications), Capy updates itself over the peer-to-peer network.
